Remove Rust from Guns & Sporting Items
RUST CLEAN is a wonderful product for cleaning and restoring guns, gun parts, knives, and a variety of sporting items. Guns tend to show the effects of condensation and cold storage, resulting in an unsightly and unsafe firearm. Now you can easily restore that gun to a handsome smooth acting well oiled assembly.
Even forensic labs can use this product to unfreeze and remove ammunition from a firearm left outside or in the water. No damage or wear occurs during the process.
Bluing finishes are removed allowing you to apply a fresh coat of bluing after you have the product cleaned of all rust & grime. The result is a new looking properly restored firearm. In some cases, complete disassembly of the firearm is not required. The solution is actually a great cleaner for such items as hardwood stocks.
One gallon of RUST CLEAN poured in a small plastic container is appropriate for most pistols and small parts. To do a gun barrel inside, simply cork one end and fill with solution. To do the barrel inside and out, use a length of PVC pipe of appropriate diameter and length, and cap one end. Then insert the gun barrel and fill PCV tube with RUST CLEAN.
After water rinsing, parts can be lightly oiled to prevent re-rusting.
