RUST CLEAN replaces many traditional rust remover processes that use acids and solvents whose use and disposal are very unhealthy to users and our planet!
RUST CLEAN is a water-based liquid that contain no acids, solvents, or other harmful chemicals. The solution is non toxic, non flammable and non corrosive. No fumes are produced and no special ventilation is required. The solution is safe on skin.
When using this product, users should always wear eye protection. Product should be kept away from children and pets. Do not swallow product. Used product contains rust particles which could be irritating to users with sensitive skin. Take appropriate precautions. Rinse hands with water after contact with RUST CLEAN.
For disposal of spent RUST CLEAN, only the iron content of the solution will dictate disposal method. If solution is used to clean iron and steel, the primary component added to the pH neutral solution will be iron oxide, a naturally occurring non-hazardous product. In most cases, the liquid portion of the solution may be rinsed into your drain or sewer system. Or you may wish to dilute 20 to one with water, and use for an excellent fertilizer for your lawn. The sediment portion containing most of the iron oxide solid is a non hazardous product safe for landfill disposal.
Our larger industrial customers may send large volumes of spent product into their waste disposal systems as non hazardous material. Always obey all local, state, and federal guidelines for your operation.
We have had RUST CLEAN tested by a reputable Michigan laboratory before and after use in removing rust from iron objects. Results show no significant presence of any metal deemed hazardous by regulatory agencies. Lab tests are available to users upon request.
