Repair Rusty Tools

RUST CLEAN is a wonderful product for restoring all types of tools and tooling that have suffered from rust buildup. Metal tools can be made to look and work like new again. The solution causes no wear to the part, maintained tolerances and bringing original markings back in to sharp focus.

Tools of combined parts and materials may be safely dipped without disassembly. RUST CLEAN solution will travel inside of complex moving parts, providing a strong cleaning action. Parts frozen together are usually completely freed up.

Harder steels used in some tools will have a black coating on them when removed from the solution. This is caused by carbon coming to the surface and can be easily removed by brushing with a scotch pad during rinsing.

Water rinsed tools are dried, and then usually coated with a light coating of oil to prevent future rusting. Parts may also be dipped back in RUST CLEAN then allowed to dry to provide short term rust protection.
